PARAPLANNER

Based: Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Job role:

To actively support IFAs by assisting in the sales process, providing technical back up and servicing their requirements in order to secure new business including the development of relationships with colleagues and external customers. They will act as a point of reference for technical queries to less experienced colleagues. They will support colleagues by developing and communicating initiatives to ensure achievement of Business Support service standards with the emphasis being on more technical issues. They will display practices and attitudes in line with the Aims and Objectives of the Company.

Role Holders will have a comprehensive understanding of a range of processes and procedures that they will apply to work that is quite variable in nature. They will use initiative on a daily basis, preparing documentation and reports etc to assist the IFA in the sales and advice process. They will have an extensive knowledge of compliance requirements and scope to adapt procedures to ensure they are met.

Key accountabilities:

1. Provide support to IFAs by responding to internal and external customer requests by establishing requirements and identifying and applying the appropriate procedures to meet them to include checking files for compliance and completing any work needed in order to meet compliance standards, completing research on behalf of the advisers, obtaining quotations and valuations, monitoring and dealing with FSA requirements, and ensuring pre-sales tasks are anticipated and dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.

2. Writing of Suitability Reports taking into account all compliance requirements and ensuring they are produced to a high standard in a timely manner.

3. Maintain and develop up to date technical knowledge of the relevant product / processes in order to respond to complex queries and requests from internal and external customers.

4. Develop the skills and behaviours targeted in the Personal Development Plan in order to support improved performance going forward

5. Identify opportunities, make recommendations, implement and improve the working practices and procedures in own area

6. Undertaking regular quality audits on Sales Support work, e.g. quality of: compliance work carried out, research obtained, communication with colleagues, record keeping etc to ensure quality standards are being met. Provide evidence for 1:1s

7. Participate fully in the team’s responsibility to keep the appearance and atmosphere of the office conducive to giving the right impression to visitors and providing a pleasant working environment for all colleagues.

8. Identify training needs and coach/train less experienced colleagues by providing development support and behavioural guidance so that they can complete their work to defined quality and productivity standards

SALES MANAGER

Job role:

Awarding winning wealth management practice based in Cheshire and Shropshire, seeks a highly motivated sales manager to help with the growth of the company.

You will have appropriate financial services qualification, at least to Financial Services Diploma level and will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. The role demands an individual who has experience in T&C supervision as well as recruiting sales staff.

The role will report directly to the Directors of the business and will be responsible for setting sales targets within company guidelines. As well as managing your own client base and own specific targets, you will also be responsible for managing the sales team’s performance and ensuring they are motivated to reach company targets.
