Job Description:

You will act as the initial point of contact for client queries relating to life assurance, pensions and investments as well as liaising with product providers and covering all aspects within the general office administration to ensure a first class service is provided to other Group offices as well as external parties.


Specific Responsibilities:

The key duties of the role are listed below, though these are not exhaustive:

·       Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them where appropriate

·       Client correspondence, written and verbal

·       Processing New Business

·       Preparation of client review packs

·       Illustration requests

·       Back office support

·       Ensure that all financial planning client administration is carried out in accordance with the Firm’s procedures

·       Maintain client records on the company software and ensure the client and firm’s files are well presented, accurate and compliant.


Experience & Skills:

·       The role requires a reliable individual who has the ability to manage and prioritise workloads

·       Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities are a must

·       Previous work experience in Financial Services is essential and previous work within a pensions or life assurance role is advantageous

·       Ability to produce business correspondence, proof read for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy

·       Excellent communications skill including written and telephone

·       Analytical and problem solving skills

·       Excellent planning and organisational skills

·       Confident with IT and office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

·       A knowledge of Adviser Office would be an advantage.



Job Description:

You will actively support our Financial Advisers by assisting them in the client management process, providing technical back up and servicing their requirements in order to help retain and secure new business.  You will conduct detailed research on clients’ existing and potential financial arrangements, assessing them against their objectives, and producing timely and compliant Suitability Reports. Increasingly, you will be involved in meetings with clients and need to develop and sustain effective relationships with other colleagues.


Specific Responsibilities:

The key duties of the role are listed below, though these are not exhaustive:

·       Supporting financial advisers by conducting research on products and helping find solutions for clients

·       Drafting Suitability Reports

·       Arranging for plans to be submitted to provider companies

·       Assisting with reviews and client requests as well as acting as a point of contact for clients to deal with day to day queries

·       Checking files for compliance and completing any work needed in order to meet compliance standards

·       Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation

·       Complying with all company and industry guidelines, rules and regulations.


Experience & Skills:

·       Working towards, or aspiring to do so, the CII Diploma in Financial Planning

·       Or experience of working as a “Whole Of Market” Paraplanner

·       Experience of writing Suitability Reports, or willingness to learn

·       Knowledge of compliance, TCF, Data Protection Act and Anti-Money Laundering requirements, or willingness to learn

·       Outstanding communication skills at all levels

·       Experience of working as part of a team

·       Flexibility/ adaptability to cope with change

·       Be motivated, friendly and professional at all times

·       Excellent time management and organisational abilities essential.


Financial Adviser

Job Description:

You will provide clients with financial advice and make recommendations on how best to meet their goals. You will be able to research the marketplace for relevant products and services, identify clients’ needs, design financial strategies and gain commitment from your clients to proceed with your recommendations. You will be an ambassador for the firm and must operate to the highest professional standards at all times. You must be able to establish and sustain productive relationships with clients and develop new business.


Specific Responsibilities:

The key duties of the role are listed below, though these are not exhaustive:

·       Provide strategic advice across a variety of financial products and services (Pensions, Investments & Savings, Protection)

·       Assess client’s financial circumstances, understand their needs and develop a comprehensive financial plan

·       Make recommendations to clients that meet their goals and ambitions

·       Cultivate the client base and build relationships

·       Keep abreast of new industry developments and research the market to ensure that knowledge is current

·       Keep up to date with financial products and legislation and comply with all industry rules and regulations.


Experience & Skills:

Advisers need to be motivated, friendly and professional at all times, and will provide impartial and unbiased advice. Excellent time management is a must to ensure appointments are scheduled with realistic time frames.


·       Experience as a Financial Adviser or relevant experience

·       Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply

·       Qualified to Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum

·       Good knowledge of compliance, TCF, Data Protection Act and Anti-Money Laundering requirements

·       Excellent communication skills and the ability to ask appropriate questions of clients

·       Good analysis skills, money management skills and planning skills

·       Enthusiastic and willingness to assist clients

·       Ability to manage own workload

·       Flexibility/adaptability to cope with change

·       Knowledge of FCA rules relating to the financial advice process

·       Working knowledge of Compliance

·       Knowledge of the current market place.
