With more than 15 years of experience in financial services, Ashley has built a well-rounded career across both investment management and financial planning. He began his career in 2011, holding roles with Seven Investment Management (7IM) and Ignis Asset Management before joining Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) in 2014, where he progressed to Senior Investment Sales Manager. In 2019, Ashley transitioned into financial planning with Clayden Financial as a Trainee Financial Advisor and qualified as an Independent Financial Advisor in 2021. His experience on both the investment and advice sides of the profession gives him a broad understanding of clients’ financial needs and long-term objectives.
Ashley holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Birmingham, the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS), and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is currently working towards achieving Chartered Financial Advisor status. Thanks to his extensive background in investment management, Ashley has developed particular expertise in investment planning and portfolio management, as well as retirement planning for clients approaching or already enjoying retirement.
At the heart of Ashley’s approach is building strong, long-term relationships with his clients. He takes the time to understand not only their financial circumstances but also their personal goals, ambitions, and priorities. Believing that financial planning should be clear, approachable, and free from unnecessary jargon, Ashley focuses on providing straightforward advice that gives clients confidence and peace of mind. He particularly enjoys helping clients feel in control of their financial future and supporting them through every stage of their financial journey.
