Lucy began her journey in Financial Services while still at university, beginning studying for her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning at the end of 2020. After studying Physics at university, she started her paraplanning career in early March 2022 at a Chartered independent firm in Scotland. Following her move to Cardiff in September 2023, Lucy continued her paraplanning career at Perspective (Gould Financial Planning) Limited before stepping into a Financial Planner role in August 2025. Since being a part of Perspective, Lucy has completed a multitude of additional advanced exams and as a result has now achieved the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and her “Chartered Financial Planner” title along with this. Lucy is extremely proud of this and is pleased to make the commitment to high quality advice, technical knowledge and professionalism that you would expect from a Chartered Financial Planner.
With a strong analytical background and a passion for technical detail, Lucy brings a thoughtful and client-focused approach to financial planning. Her role involves delivering high-quality, personalised advice across a wide range of areas, including retirement and estate planning, protection, long term care and investment and tax strategies. Lucy is particularly committed to helping clients understand complex financial concepts in a clear and empowering way, ensuring they feel confident in their decisions.
Outside of work, Lucy is a passionate Scottish Country dancer and teacher. She and her fiancé run Saltire Scottish Country Dancers, regularly competing at the highest level and placing in the top three in competitions. A former international gymnast and elite coach, Lucy also plays the bagpipes, fiddle, and piano. She enjoys walking, catching up with friends, and collecting Scottish Single Malt Whiskies with her fiancé — all while planning their wedding for April 2027.
