Perspective Financial Group Limited ("Perspective") has completed five further acquisitions, welcoming Carlton Smith Private Wealth, Novus Wealth Management Ltd, Annandale Financial Services LLP, Plumb Financial Services and Shand Associates Ltd to the Group. Together, the acquisitions bring approximately £600 million of assets under advice, seven advisers, 22 employees and three new offices, taking Perspective's total acquisitions completed in 2026 to 19.
These acquisitions strengthen Perspective’s presence across the UK and represent another significant milestone in the Group’s continued growth.
As increasing numbers of financial advisers approach retirement, succession planning has become one of the most important considerations facing the profession. For many owners, it is not simply about selling a business. It is about finding the right long-term home for clients, protecting staff and ensuring trusted advice relationships continue long into the future.
The latest acquisitions demonstrate the breadth of Perspective’s appeal across the UK advice market, both for offices seeking growth and for advisers at the point of retirement. Carlton Smith Private Wealth joins the Group from Stowmarket with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals through comprehensive financial planning. Novus Wealth Management becomes Perspective’s new Wynyard office, while Annandale Financial Services strengthens the Group’s presence in Scotland as its second office north of the border. Existing client relationships, local presence and trusted advice teams will remain at the heart of all three of these businesses as they become part of Perspective. The clients of Plumb Financial Services and Shand Associates will be welcomed into Perspective’s existing offices, ensuring continuity of advice while creating opportunities for advisers and staff across the Group
Nic Carlton-Smith, Director of Carlton Smith Private Wealth, said:
“As the business has grown, ensuring long-term security and continuity for both our clients and our staff became increasingly important.”
“Perspective’s culture and ethos closely align with our own values of putting clients first and delivering high-quality financial planning. Their commitment to retaining our team, maintaining our local presence and continuing to look after our clients gave me confidence this was the right home for the future of our business.”
“Perspective has a strong track record of integrating firms successfully while preserving what makes them special. Our clients will continue to receive the personal service they know and trust, supported by the resources and expertise of a larger organisation.”
Jon Sturrock, Director of Novus Wealth Management Ltd, added:
“Having built Novus Wealth Management over recent years, I felt now was the right time to look for a larger partner to support the business during its next phase of growth, without compromising our commitment to excellent client service.”
“Perspective gives us access to a huge array of resource to further improve our client offering whilst not diminishing the personal and professional service that our clients have become accustomed to.”
“I am confident that the business and our staff are in safe hands and am very much looking forward to continuing to deliver for our clients for many years to come.”
Ian Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer of Perspective Financial Group, commented:
“Every adviser who has spent decades building a successful business eventually faces the same question: who will look after my clients when I am no longer here? ”
“We believe succession planning is about much more than a transaction. It is about finding the right home for clients, protecting adviser legacies and ensuring staff and local relationships continue to thrive.”
“We are delighted to welcome these five acquisitions to Perspective. Each firm has built an excellent reputation for trusted advice and long-standing client relationships, and each shares our belief that clients must come first in everything we do.”
“Reaching 19 completed acquisitions in 2026 demonstrates that more and more advisers are choosing Perspective as the right long-term home for their clients, their staff and the businesses they have worked hard to build.”
The five acquisitions further strengthen Perspective’s national footprint and reflect a growing trend among financial advice firm owners seeking succession solutions that prioritise continuity for clients and staff, while providing access to the scale, technology, infrastructure and specialist expertise of a larger organisation.
With more than 50 active acquirers in the financial planning market, advisers are increasingly looking beyond headline valuations and focusing on the long-term future of their clients. Perspective’s approach centres on maintaining trusted relationships, supporting local teams and ensuring clients continue to receive the high-quality advice they have come to expect.
For Perspective, the principle remains simple: clients come first. Always.
