Perspective Financial Group Limited (Perspective) has strengthened its executive, board and regional leadership teams with the appointment of Chief Operating Officer Iain McKenzie, the appointments of Jeff Scott and Jens Bech as Non-Executive Directors, and the appointments of Philip Northey and David Berry as Regional Directors.
The appointments reinforce Perspective’s continued investment in the people, governance and infrastructure that support long-term growth and outstanding client outcomes.
As one of the UK’s fastest-growing financial planning and wealth management groups, Perspective continues to invest in the leadership, operational capabilities and strategic oversight required to support advisers, clients and acquisition partners as the business grows organically and through acquisition.
Iain McKenzie as Chief Operating Officer
Iain McKenzie joins Perspective as Chief Operating Officer, bringing extensive experience in operational leadership, business transformation and growth within financial services.
His background spans operations, technology, governance, organisational development and business integration. In his new role, Iain will oversee the teams and infrastructure that support Perspective’s advisers, clients and growing number of acquired businesses, helping ensure the Group remains well positioned for its next phase of growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Iain said:
“I was attracted by Perspective’s culture, the quality of its people and the ambition for the next stage of its growth. Perspective has already built a strong business and I see a real opportunity to continue strengthening the infrastructure, support functions and capabilities that help advisers and colleagues deliver outstanding client outcomes.”
My focus will be on ensuring we have the people, technology and operational foundations required to support sustainable growth while preserving the culture and local identity that have made Perspective successful.”
Strengthening Board Leadership
Perspective has also strengthened its Board with the appointments of Jeff Scott and Jens Bech as Non-Executive Directors.
Jeff Scott returns to Perspective having previously served as Chairman from 2019 to 2024 during a significant period of growth for the business. With more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, including a decade as CEO of Santander Asset Management, Jeff brings extensive expertise in wealth management, governance, business transformation and strategic growth.
Jeff said:
“I was proud to be part of Perspective’s earlier growth journey and am delighted to rejoin the Board as the Group enters its next phase of development. Perspective has always stood out for its strong client focus, entrepreneurial culture and ability to deliver through challenging market conditions.”
Jens Bech joins the Board with more than 25 years’ experience in financial services. Most recently Group Commercial Director at OSB Group, he previously served as Chief Risk Officer and played a key role in the business’s growth, including its IPO, acquisitions and merger with Charter Court Financial Services.
Jens said:
“I was attracted to Perspective by the quality of the business, its clear growth ambitions and its strong focus on clients. I have been impressed by the strength of the management team and the opportunity ahead.”
“I look forward to bringing my strategic, commercial and risk experience to the Board as Perspective continues to grow while maintaining strong governance and its focus on clients and colleagues.”
Strengthening Regional Leadership
Perspective has also strengthened its regional leadership team with the appointment of Philip Northey as Regional Director and the promotion of David Berry to Regional Director.
Philip brings more than three decades of leadership experience within UK financial services. Having held senior executive positions across major retail banking and regulated advice businesses, he has extensive experience leading customer-focused organisations, developing high-performing teams and driving sustainable growth.
“Perspective has built a strong reputation for putting clients first, and that was a key attraction for me. I’m excited to work with our advisers and local teams to build on that success, supporting growth while maintaining the personal and trusted relationships that sit at the heart of great financial planning.”
David Berry has been promoted following two successful years with Perspective as Regional Manager. With more than 20 years’ experience in financial advice and leadership roles, supporting advisers, developing teams and helping clients at every stage of their financial journey, his appointment reflects both his contribution to the Group’s growth and his deep understanding of Perspective’s culture, people and long-term ambitions.
As Regional Director, David will play a key role in overseeing the continued development of Perspective’s growing presence across Scotland.
“Having spent the last two years working closely with our advisers, principals and support teams, I’m delighted to take on this new role. Scotland represents a significant opportunity for Perspective and I’m looking forward to helping grow our presence in the region whilst ensuring that new and existing businesses continue to benefit from the collaborative and client-focused culture that defines our Group.”
Building for the Long Term
Commenting on the appointments, CEO Ian Wilkinson said:
“These appointments reflect our continued investment in the future of Perspective.”
“As we have grown, it has become increasingly important that we continue to strengthen the infrastructure, support functions, governance and leadership capability that sit behind our advisers and client-facing teams. Our goal is not simply to grow, but to grow in the right way, ensuring we continue delivering exceptional outcomes for clients while supporting colleagues and preserving the values that have underpinned our success.”
“Iain’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer significantly strengthens our executive leadership team and reflects the importance we place on investing in our people, technology, integration capabilities and operational infrastructure. The appointments of Jeff and Jens further enhance the depth of experience and strategic oversight on our Board, while Philip and David strengthen our regional leadership capability.”
“Whether through organic growth, acquisitions or adviser succession opportunities, firms choosing to join Perspective want confidence that their clients, staff and legacy will be supported by a business with the right culture, resources and long-term commitment. These appointments further reinforce that commitment.”
Perspective continues to invest in the teams and infrastructure supporting advisers and clients across the Group, including regulatory, technology, integration, people, training, marketing and operational functions.
