We have a fantastic vacancy for an experienced typist to join our expanding team in Newcastle. This is a multi-faceted role comprising various duties, such as producing high-quality documentation with speed and accuracy, liaising with third parties and ensuring a first-class service is afforded to internal and external stakeholders. It is therefore essential that you are confident with IT and Microsoft office software packages, especially Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint and is also confident at being pro-active and using your time effectively.


Previous experience with Audio typing and scribing is essential and typing speed and ability will be tested.


Office: Perspective (North East) Ltd

Location: Newcastle

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm with a one hour break (35 hours)

Salary: Competitive dependant on experience and qualifications. Available upon request.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Audio Typing with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain client records on the company software and ensure the client and firm's files are well presented, accurate and compliant.
  • Taking phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them where appropriate.
  • Client correspondence, written and verbal.
  • Delivering back office, reception and administration support where needed.


Additional Responsibilities where required:

  • Reception Cover.
  • Back-office support.
  • Ensure that all financial planning client administration is carried out in accordance with the Firm's procedures.


Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable.

You will need to be motivated, friendly and professional at all times and able to hold conversations with third parties, representing the company in a professional manner.

You will also be skilled in, or have the ability to learn:


  • Confident with IT and Microsoft office software packages, especially Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to produce concise business correspondence, proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility/ adaptability to cope with change.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
